I Also Have a L8D5 354 CU IN out of 1958 Truck and an NE56 354 CU IN 280 HP out of 1956 New Yorker. I have one other that I have not yet ID but believe it to be a 354. The First one is block and heads only and is undergoing rebuild. The other three are mostly in original condition with some parts missing and have not been tore down or inspected as of yet but are believed to be in rebuildable condition.

I have recently aquired a '54 Chrysler 331 (eng no C542-8-34825)almost complete with Power Flite trans to go into a '34 Ford pickup early highboy style. I plan to run a suicide front and bobbed rear. I also plan to keep the stock motor look and run it initially as is then perhaps install a mild solid cam and raise the comp ratio. I'm having trouble removing the spark plug tubes. Can anyone help. Thanks!

MY motor says super red ram on the peeling valve covers but is complete down to original oil in crank case. Beleved to come from a two ton or so, it ran when it was pulled but had been siting in someone elses shed for around seven years, and now awaits its fate, weighing down my welding bench, in some 30's streetrod scheduled to be started around 2018 when my youngest son starts college.

the engine is in a 1970 raysoncraft flat bottom v-drive boat i have owned it for about 12 years.it has been burned down once (water pump went out).it took about 1 1/2 years to find a set of thru transom headers and all the parts to rebuild it.it now has about 35 hours on it and still going strong.it is a 392 #58c11780 it has original 2 4bbl manifold but have put holleys on it.the original builder of the engine said it dyno tested at 430hp and i belive it.not real radical but very fast and very fun.a great boat to ski behind.needing new paint now but still running buitiful.

I was wondering if anybody would be interested in and aluminum water pump housing for a 392. Which would you rather have one that would exept the original 5 bolt water pump or the 440 style water pump. The 440 style water pump would put the pulleys where the 392 would so that they could be swapped easily. If anybody would be interested in this email me please with your input on this. Thanks.

I have a 241 red ram, from a 52 coronet. Tranny went out some twenty years ago-- the family kept meaning to save the money to get it done but never did. This hemi will probably go in a 35 Ford truck I have, depending on what the diagnosis is once I get around to starting it. very willing to listen to advice, since the hemi world is new to me.

Just purchased a 47 jeep with a 392. Engine number is NE575773. It appears to be mostly stock with original generator, distributor, and intake manifold. Does have a Holley carb on it though and a Milodon oil filter adaptor due to the close proximity of the Jeep frame rails. Engine is mated to a T-10 4 speed.

I have a '56 Chrysler 354 hemi. It was taken from a New Yorker 4dr sedan that a friend stripped for body parts. Its cylinder bores are well worn and the block was full of thick sludge- as if the oil had never been changed! The plugs and plug wires on the engine were imprinted with "MOPAR"- Could these actually be the original factory stuff? The engine has never been tampered with as far as I can tell. It will need a complete rebuild that will have to wait on money! I plan to put this motor in my '57 Desoto Firesweep with a street high performance build.

I have 2 hemi engines. One is a 392 in a 50,000 mile 4 door New Yorker-power windows, power seat, all working. It is pink with white top and driven daily. Not a low profile ride! The other hemi is a 241 from a 54 Dodge Royal. Never been opened up. I am putting it in a 55 Dodge pickup with 52 Dodge short bed. Gotta love any hemi!!

I have a 1958 Dodge with a 325 poly. My grandparents bought it new. It has a two barrel Stromberg carb. It has 81,000 original miles on it. I drive it an average of 200 miles a year. It is very reliable. I rebuilt it in 1986.

I have a 55 desoto fire dome 291 ci hemi. It is complete but is disassenbled for inspection. Very rebuildable. These engines are in demand because of small size to fit in small areas. Parts are also stocked to rebuild. engine and a very cute 28 ford chopped coupe with running sbc sells together. Drive the coupe while you build the Hemi. Will e mail photos 12500.00 will not part.

1954 331 cu.in Chrysler Marine motor in a 1954 StanCraft torpedo stern runabout wooden boat. The motor was reworked by Dan Foster before installation. It came with 2 X 4 WCFB's, Ducoil distributer, etc. I rebuilt the motor in 2001 by blueprinting it, including boring, 10:1 pistons, cam, head work, etc. The boat has won many awards in shows and can run 50 mph .

I own a 1956 Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis two door hard top. The car is red, white and black. I believe the colors were Regimental Red, Cloud White and Onyx Black. The paint was redone in 1994.The car was was purchased new by my father and has 88,600 miles on the 354 Hemi motor. The motor is completely stock and has never been out of the car, but the transmission (two speed PowerFlite)has had work done on it. The car still makes a great impression going down the street. I drove this car in high school and to my prom in 1966. My son drove it to his prom in 1996.

I have a 56 model ind. HEMI data tag list IND-56 236 seral# 9723 I've contacted hot heads thay believe it's a 354 if any one can confirm this please let me know thanks. This engine wes used as a industral power plant to power a irrigation water pump, it's a propane run engine ( not for long ) the plan for this engine is to power my 34 dodge sedan looking to produce aprox 800 plus horse power. Hot heads said this is a good engine to start with because the 354 mains in the block are thicker & can stand more stress such as a large blower. The engine is still all complete disambly will start soon thanks for any info

I am building a 1940 Dodge 2dr. Business Coupe, a very rare 1 year limited production. Currently it has a late model 318 and would very much like to drop a 331 or 354 into her due to the readily availability of aftermarket parts for these. Going more for the Hemi dressed up killer look than the tire smoking flame throwing performance that I know these powerplants are capable of. I would consider a D553 Super Red Ram 270 a D500 315 or even a KD500 325 all Dodge motors. Have found many 331's but most are either out west or the upper midwest which makes it unfeasable to buy a rebuilder and freight it down to Florida. I am not looking for a rebuilt engine unless the price was dirt cheap as i am a bit finicky and like to do things myself to ascertain they're done correctly. Would prefer something within 500 miles of N. Florida.

1955 Imperial C69 with 331 Firepower Hemi. 86,000 miles. I have had the car since 1966. Still looks great and run great. I still don't think there is an engine built that can move 4500 pounds of metal down the road as fast as the old 331. It pulls strong right past 100.

Not really sure. i aquired this engine down at the airport where i work. it is installed in a hobart ground power unit. i know it is a chrysler industrial it runs. it has a governor installed. it is coupled to a 28V generator. i think the generator is ok, but it needs carbon pile regulators. is this engine worth messing with to put in a vehicle? are parts available? I have a Chrysler 331 (CE55) out of a 55 Imperial. The car had been sitting in the woods for the last 30+ years. By some miracle, the engine does spin by hand and wasn't locked up like I thought. One thing I did notice though... the engine has the 331 casting # on it, but has water outlets in the heads and a one piece waterpump/thermostat housing assembly. The book I have state the 331's didn't have these water outlets. Any ideas what could have happened? Some swapping around sometime maybe? My expertise in the Hemi world is somewhat limited and I'm learning new things about these everyday. Any help would be great.
