Please put my e-mail on the registry also . I have several Chrysler Fire-Power< BR> engines a 55-331 , two 56-354's , a 354 truck engine and a 57-392 . I need to find a B&M or Hydomotive adapter to run a "Hydro/stick" GM dual-range 4 speed Hydramatic Tranny behind a blown hemi I plan to build for my 1940 Willys coupe< BR> . I hope to build a nice streetrod that has the look of a early sixties A/GAS Supercharged car . I have found two trannys complete for sale at extremely
high prices but I need only the adaptors as I have at least 4 of these trannys< BR> already and two with the stick-shift valve bodies . My Mailing adress is Del Stallsworth , P.O.Box 44 Dupont , Colorado , 80024-0044 , or contact me by e- mail . Thanks .

I own a 1952 DeSoto Firedome with a 276 Hemi. The engine runs
great and to the best of my knowledge has never had any
major work done to it in 80,000 miles. I also have a 1952
DeSoto Custom Club Coupe with a flathead six. Wha t a
difference between the two cars.

P.S. Desperately need a flat head six block for the 52 coupe!
I know somebody out there has a new one si tting around
still in the crate.

I have four early hemis, but they are currently in New Mexico and Florida.
So I don't have block numbers available right now. One is a '58 Chrysler
3 92 hemi that I am putting in a '52 Willys pro-street. It will have a 6-71
huffer. I have a '56 Chrysler 354 hemi that is going in a '40 Ford woody wagon .
Both of these are being adapted to A833s (a hemi four speed for the pro-s treet).
I have a '54 Desoto 276 hemi sitting on an engine stand waiting for a
project. And a '55 270 Dodge hemi sitting in the original car. It was my
grandmother's till she quit driving in 1990 (my granddad bought it new in
'55. It is a Custom Royal with Lancer fins and hubcaps, a four barrel, power
steering, brakes, windows, seat, and windshield washer. It still has factory
grease-pencil markings on the cowl. It runs OK, but needs an overa ll restoration.
When I get numbers, etc for these engines, I will forward t hem.

I have two Hemis both are 1956 Dodge D500 motors. One goes to my 56 D500 Corone t. this car is a two door Club Coupe, and is under going a groundup frameoff re stortion. The outher one is a 56 315 thats been punshed 30 over so it's 318 now . When the Cornet motor goes back together it will breath a little easier, beca use i'm porten and polishen yhe heads, and intake. The 30 over motor is waiten for parts and heads don't know what hood she will rest under, maybe a 29 highbo y, or a John Milner yellow 5 window coupe. It could even be a Dodge Caravan. Ne xt Spring I will be doing a ground pounding 392 in a 56 Dodge Coronet 2dr Club Coupe so then i'll have three Hemis.

Crank was ground and polished .010. The engine runs well enough to continue my interest in the car. I am the third owner, car garaged but unfortunatley driven in Ohio 's winters and salt. Anyone have leads on 1/4 panels & other misc sheet metal? ? Thanks.

I have a 1956 354 Chrysler hemi out of a 1956 New Yorker. I put it in a 1956 pl ymouth in 1967, then in a 1958 Plymouth in 1968. Now it is on an engine stand i n my garage waiting for a place to live. It has all new parts including a Crowe r 202hk 3/4 race cam, Mallory dual point ignition, Weiand aluminum 2-4 bbl,& 2 AFB's from a 1958 New Yorker.Behind it is a Scheifer aluminum flywheel and chlt ch assembly. A 1958 plymouth 3 speed stick with an original Hurst Mystery Shift er completes the set. I'll probably update the tranny to an automatic when I fi nally get it rolling.

Would this be a good call or would it be better to use the hem i heads on the 318, or woul it be better to use a 354 hemi. Which would be bes t for a mild streetrod.
